The Flow Builder. 

Compliance and onboarding requirements are rarely the same from one business to the next. 

Different customer types, risk appetites, and regulatory obligations demand flexibility, yet onboarding systems have traditionally been rigid, slow to change, and dependent on support teams.

Personr’s Flow Builder changes that.

Designed to put control back in the hands of compliance teams, the Flow Builder allows businesses to design, manage, and update onboarding journeys themselves, without waiting weeks for changes or relying on manual configuration.

Personr’s Co-Founder and CEO Charlie Westerman said the release represents a major shift for Know Your Customer and onboarding in Australia.

Fully customisable onboarding, built for compliance teams

With the Flow Builder, teams have full control over how onboarding journeys are designed and managed.

Onboarding flows are built by selecting and arranging each step of the KYC process, allowing businesses to tailor journeys to their customer types. 

This includes:

1. ID document capture.
2. Selfie and liveness checks.
3. Questionnaires and risk assessments.
4. Any additional actions required for your use case.
   

Beyond flow design, teams can fully customise the onboarding journey to align with their brand and desired customer experience. Brands can customise their flows to include assets like their own logos and colours.

With the Flow Builder, compliance teams retain control over data sources and AML screening configurations, including search criteria and risk rules.

Availability and additional information

Personr customers will have access to the new Flow Builder from 30 January 2026. 

An in-platform how-to guide will be released alongside platform videos to help Personr platform users utilise the new features.

Please note Personr customers will continue to have access to their current onboarding flow templates for the next 12 months, and are able to transition over for all new flows over time.

The Personr team will continue to send reminders when it’s time to switch everything over to the new Flow Builder and will provide you all the help you need.
